I have surely seen the suffering of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cries in the face of their oppressors, so I know their sorrows. Therefore, I have descended to rescue them from the hand of Egypt and to raise them from that land to a good and broad land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. Even now, here, the cry of the children of Israel comes to me. Moreover, I have seen the affliction with which the Egyptians afflict them. Therefore, go now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.
