I Will Bring You Up from the Affliction of Egypt

Go and gather the elders of Israel and say to them: The Eternal, the God of your fathers, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, appeared to me, saying: I have taken account of what was done to you in Egypt. Therefore, I have said: I will bring you up from the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey. Then they will heed you. You will come, you and the elders of Israel, to the King of Egypt and say to him: The Eternal, God of the Hebrews, has called on us, and now, please let us go three days' journey into the desert, so we may sacrifice to the Eternal, our God! But I know that the King of Egypt will not let you go, unless by a strong hand, so I will stretch my hand and strike the Egyptians with all my wonders which I will make among them - and afterwards, he will deliver you. Also, I will give the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians, so that when you go, you will not go empty-handed. Therefore, each woman will ask her neighbor and her house-boarder for vessels of silver, vessels of gold and gowns. You will put them on your sons and on your daughters and will despoil the Egyptians. - Exodus 3:16-22
