Fear Not, Abram

Fear not, Abram. I am a shield to you. Your merit is very great. - Genesis 15:1

Walk in Your Land

Now raise your eyes from the place where you are and look northward, southward, eastward and westward, because I will give to you and to your descendants forever all the land which you see. I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, also your descendants he will be able to count. Arise, walk in the land - to its length and to its width - because I will give it to you. - Genesis 13:14-17

The Land Which I will Show You

I will give this land to your descendants. - Genesis 12:7

Go Inside Yourself

Go from your land, from your birthplace and from your father's house to the land which I will show you. Then will I make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you, and all the families of the land will be blessed in you. - Genesis 12:1-3

The Tower of Babel

Here, one people and one language to all - and this they begin to build! And now, they will not be prevented from anything they contrive to do. Come, let us now descend there to confuse their language, so a man will not understand his fellow man's language.

The Sign of the Contract

This is the sign of the contract I have established between me and all flesh on earth.

Signed with a Rainbow

This is the sign which I give of the contract between me and you and every living being which is with you for everlasting generations. I have set my rainbow in a cloud, and it will be a sign of the contract between me and the earth. Hence, it will be that when I cover the earth with clouds, the rainbow will be seen in a cloud, and I will remember my contract which is between me and you and every living soul in all flesh, and the waters will never again flood to destroy all flesh. Therefore, the rainbow will be in the cloud, and I will see it to remember the everlasting contract between God and every living soul in all flesh which is on the earth. - Genesis 9:12-16

God's Contract with Noah and Children

And I,here, will establish my contract with you and with your descendants after you and with every living being which is with you - with fowl, with beast and with every animal of the earth which is with you - from everything that goes out of the ark to every animal of the earth. I will establish my contract with you that all flesh will never again be cut off by the waters of the flood, and there will never again be a flood to destroy the earth. - Genesis 9:9-11 

He Who Sheds the Blood of Man

And yet, I will avenge the blood of your souls. I will avenge it from the hand of every animal. I will avenge the soul of man from the hand of man - from the hand of man's brother. He who sheds the blood of man, his blood will be shed by man, because man was made in the image of God. So you, be fruitful and multiply, abound in the earth and multiply on it. - Genesis 9:5-7

I Have Given You Everything

Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. Fear of you and terror of you will be upon every animal of the earth, upon every fowl of the heavens, upon everything which creeps on the ground and upon every fish of the sea. They are given into your hands. Every living creature is food for you - as the green herb. I have given you everything, but you may not eat flesh with living blood. - Genesis 9:1-4

Never Again

I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, because the inclination of man's heart is evil from his youth. And I will never again strike all life as I have done. All the remaining days of the earth, sowing and harvest, autumn and spring, summer and winter, day and night, will not cease. - Genesis 8:21-22

After the Flood

Go out from the ark - you and your wife, your sons and your sons' wives with you. Take out with you every animal which has been with you, of all flesh - of fowl, beast and of everything which creeps on the earth - so they may breed on the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth. - Genesis 8:16-17

The Flood

Come, you and all your house to the ark, because I have seen you as righteous before me in this generation. Take to yourself of all the pure beasts, seven of each, a male and a female, and of the beasts which are not pure, two, a male and its female, also of the fowl of heaven, seven of each, male and female - to keep alive their seed on the face of the entire earth. Because in seven more days, I will make it rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will destroy every living thing which I have made from off the face of the earth. - Genesis 7:1-4

Noah's Ark

The end of all flesh has come before me, because the earth is full of man's violence. Therefore, I will now destroy man along with the earth. Make yourself a gopher-wood ark. Make the ark with rooms and tar it inside and outside with tar. And this is how you are to make it: the length of the ark, three hundred forearms; its width, fifty forearms; and its height, thirty forearms. Make a window above for the ark and finish it to a forearm. And put the opening of the ark on the side. Make it with second and third sub-levels. And now I will bring the floodwater on the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the spirit of life from under the heavens. Everything on the earth will perish. Yet, I will establish my contract with you, and you will come to the ark, you and your sons, and your wife and your son's wife with you. And from all life of all fresh, you are to bring with you two of each to the ark to keep alive. They are to be male and female. Two of each - the fowl with its mate, the beast with its mate and every creeper of the ground with its mate - are to come to you to live. Therefore, you are to take from every food which is eaten and gather it to yourself. It is to be for you and for them for food.

God's Regret

I will wipe man whom I have created off the face of the earth - man, beast, creeper and the fowl of the heavens - because I regret having created them. - Genesis 6:7

May You Live to Be 120 Years

My spirit will not reside in man forever, as he is also flesh. Therefore his days are to be a hundred and twenty years. - Genesis 6:3

Fear of Revenge

From now on, anyone who kills Cain will be avenged sevenfold. - Genesis 4:15

Am I my Brother's Keeper?

What have you done? The voice of the blood of your brother cries to me from the ground. Now then, you are cursed by the ground which has opened its mouth to take the blood of your brother from your hand. When you work the land, it will no longer give you its strength. You are to be a wanderer and a nomad on the earth. - Genesis 4:10-12
